Hurricanes Recreation Swim Team

Yellow Group

This group provides a concrete foundation for entry-level swimmers, who are able to swim 25 yards in two of the four competitive strokes. The focus in all sessions is on stroke technique and overall skill development of the four competitive strokes, along with starts, turns, and finishes. Swimmers are encouraged to attend 2 practices a week.

Yellow Group Practice Times:

Session 1: January 23 - February 16

  • M,T,W,TH 5:30pm-6:30pm Location: Avon Rec. Center

Session 2: March 19 - April 12

  • M,T,W,TH 5:30pm-6:30pm Location: Avon Rec. Center

Session 3: April 30 - May 24

  • M,T,W,TH 5:00pm-5:45pm Location: Avon Rec. Center

Cost:

  • $110 plus $15 family registration fee

 

Swim Team: Vail Hurricanes Blue Group/USA Swim League

This group is for swimmers who have good consistency in all four strokes and a desire to work to improve. At this level we will continue to emphasize the proper technique for all four strokes as well as putting together a training program meant to assist swimmers in speed, turns and conditioning. Swimmers are encouraged to attend 2–3 practices a week.

Blue Group Practice Times

Session 1: January 23 - February 16

Session 2: March 19 - April 12

  • M,T,W,TH 5:30pm-6:30pm Location: Avon Rec. Center

Session 3: April 30 - May 24

  • M,T,W,TH 5:45pm-6:45pm Location: Avon Rec. Center

Cost:

  • $110 unlimited practices plus $15 family registration fee

 

Summer Swim Team

8 Week Program 5 Day a Week

Dates: June 11 - August 9 (No practice July 2-6)

Location: Eagle-Vail Pool

Registration due by May 31, 2012 after this date a late fee of $25 will be applied.

Yellow Team Cost:

  • $220 unlimited practices plus $15 family registration fee
  • Meets Monday - Friday from 9:15am-10:00am

 

Blue Team Cost:

  • $300 unlimited practices plus $15 family registration fee
  • Meets Monday - Friday from 7:45am-9:15am

 

Recreation Swim Meets

3 meets will be held June, July and August
